What Is The Dugout Sportscast?

The Dugout Sportscast is Washington County, Maryland’s dedicated high school sports media platform. We cover every school, every sport, and every student-athlete in the county with the depth and respect they deserve.

Through our podcast, YouTube channel, and editorial coverage, we give athletes, coaches, and teams a platform that mainstream media often overlooks. Every game matters here. Every athlete has a story worth telling.

We are committed to Washington County. Not regional coverage that happens to include the county. Not occasional game recaps. Consistent, dedicated, in-depth coverage of all seven Washington County high schools and their athletic programs.

The People Behind the Platform

BRYAN ANTHONY DAVIS (Co-Host & Producer)

Bryan Anthony Davis is a successful sports journalist with extensive experience as a broadcaster, producer, morning show deejay, and writer. A co-founder and content creator of the Steel Curtain Network, BAD is the co-host of the SCN Steelers Postgame, BAD Language, Here We Go Steelers, and the Q&A. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Bryan is a former writer and current podcast editor and producer for SI, a podcast producer for the Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast, host of Raiders Breaking News, the Pittsburgh Steelers Insider Podcast, and a co-host/producer for the Draft Nation podcast. A father of three and resident of Hagerstown, MD, Bryan considers himself an aficionado of 80s music, a pub trivia veteran, and an 11-time chili cook-off champion.

JEFF HARTMAN (Co-Host & Network Director)

Jeff Hartman is the Network Director of Fans First Sports Network and the Steelers Curtain Network, where he covers the Pittsburgh Steelers, NFL, and PGA Tour. Beyond his sports media career, Jeff served as the men's varsity Lacrosse Coach in the Washington/Frederick County area for 13 years and taught in Frederick County for 16 years — giving him a deep, firsthand connection to the athletes and communities The Dugout Sportscast serves. "The athletes, both youth and professional, deserve the exposure this project will provide!"

CORT MEINELSCHMIDT (Co-Host & Network Director)

Cort Meinelschmidt is a Washington County native whose many businesses drive growth not only in Downtown Hagerstown, but throughout the county itself. From holding benefits for multiple non-profits throughout Hagerstown to his involvement with athletic opportunities across Washington County, Cort sees the Dugout Sportscast as the platform for local athletes to gain exposure outside of their home.
